About Wrapt: A Drive for Innovation and Transformation

Founded in 2023, San Francisco-based Wrapt is an end-to-end specification data and product lifecycle management platform designed to automate packaging development processes and serve as a singular source of truth for packaging workstreams.

Yasmin realized that packaging is highly energy-inefficient and wasteful, with 91% of packaging ending up in landfills. She decided to help companies optimize what they are doing with business insights to make their packaging more biodegradable and have a positive environmental impact. She also saw that packaging becomes more complex as brands scale, with in-house solutions requiring extensive audits and often leading to interactions among packaging vendors, co-packers, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies taking weeks, sometimes even months. In addition, accurate artwork and spec versioning are critical when brands consider diversifying their supply chains, repackaging, or seeking sustainable alternatives.

Yasmin seized an opportunity to help CPG businesses transform the entire process, create more sustainable packaging, and reduce the months spent on design iterations, the approval process, and final packaging specs. She could also help CPGs go to market more quickly with reliable shared data.

Wrapt provides 360-degree data visibility to everyone involved in the packaging process—from marketing to procurement and suppliers. It helps eliminate tedious tasks, avert missed deadlines and version-control errors, and empowers operators to focus on meaningful creative work.

The cloud-based intuitive platform combines data and tailored workflows to break silos across outdated spreadsheets, emails, and PDFs. In addition, Wrapt’s AI-powered, standardized packaging spec format makes data management efficient and hassle-free.

Household brand collaborators include large CPG and packaging companies such as Unimaginable Floods, Kitchen Town, Petco, Hello Fresh, Three Trees, Fishwife, and C-Pack. Yasmin made sure Wrapt’s advisory board is diverse and consists of packaging engineers, individuals in procurement, R&D, finance, and the executive level to get insights from different stakeholders.
